Biblical Studies: Language Arts

English

  • ENG 601 English Literature: Fictional and poetical literature, written by widely known Christian authors throughout the ages, is read and studied for their spiritual insight and instruction. Some authors include Milton, Bunyan, C.S. Lewis. The course is available upon request.

Greek

  • GRK 501 Introduction to Biblical Languages: This practical Greek course teaches the student how to intelligently use Biblical tools, such as commentaries and reference materials, that require a working knowledge of the Greek Language. Time is also spent briefly examining the Hebrew language.
  • GRK 601 Greek 1: An introductory study of the grammar, forms, syntax, and vocabulary of written New Testament Greek.
  • GRK 701 Greek 2: A continuation of the study of the essentials of Greek grammar. Emphasis is placed on reading and interpreting select portions of the Greek New Testament text.

Hebrew

  • HEB 601 Hebrew 1: An introduction to the alphabet, vowels, and pronunciation of the Hebrew language, followed by studies of important Old Testament words.
  • HEB 701 Hebrew 2: A continuation of the study of the essentials of Hebrew grammar.  Emphasis is placed on reading and interpreting select portions of the Old Testament.
